Woman Hospitalized After Being Pinned Between Two Cars In Westchester

A woman was hospitalized after being pinned between two vehicles near an elementary school in Westchester.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 24-year-old Valley Road resident Sinying Lin was involved in a minor crash on Montrose Road in Scarsdale, near the Greenacres Elementary School, when she backed her Volvo into a Toyota that was parked next to her.

Lin proceeded to get out of the car to assess the damage that was done, when the Volvo rolled toward the second car, pinning her in the middle, leaving her with undisclosed injuries. Police said that the vehicle was not in park when Lin got out of the car to check the damage.

First responders from the Scarsdale Police Department, Fire Department and Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps. were dispatched to the scene to assist. Lin was transported to White Plains Hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available on Friday afternoon.
